BANGALORE: Receiving one million applications a year and recruiting 45 people a day can put the HR department of India's second largest employers of software professionals working over night. With the number of applications to the company expected to double up to two million, Infosys has selected Blueshift's Recruitment Management System (RMS).
The Chennai based online solution provider's product is designed to help Infosys manage the immense volume involved in its recruitment processing. The RMS consists of modules for different users such as candidates who apply directly, staffing vendors, employees referrals, campus placement co-ordinators and the HR Manager co-ordinating with all these users and managing the complete process. The product is built on .NET platform and is designed to be secure, robust and feature rich. The RMS is usually offered either through a license model or as a hosted solution.
Sankaran Raghunathan, Chairman, Blueshift, said, "The process is usually tedious and time consuming. Research shows that companies, which want to recruit about 100 people would usually process about 10,000 applications. Processing 10,000 applications would take about 100 man-days. The RMS is designed to speeden and simplify this vast, and sometimes complex, process. Infosys was looking for a comprehensive solution that would integrate various resume sources and users and be used across locations. The RMS will help Infosys Recruitment managers control and monitor the entire process more effectively and economically."
With the job market expanding, the market for HR process management solutions is also expected to grow. The IT / ITES sector is expected to increase jobs by about 57 percent in the coming year. About 83 percent of IT / ITES companies, 63 percent of companies in the financial sector, and over 40 percent of companies in other sectors are looking to augment staff over the next year.
Some of the clients of Blueshift includes Coke, The World Bank, and American Universities in the global market, and ICICI Prudential, Club Mahindra, TVS Electronics and several academic institutions in the domestic market.
