Infosys buys Lodestone, to eye Spanish firm Everis?

BANGALORE, INDIA: Infosys Limited has announced the acquisition of Swiss firm Lodestone Holding AG, a management consultancy firm based in Zurich for.

The acquisition of Lodestone, with 200 clients across Europe, will strengthen Infosys consulting and systems integration (C&SI) capabilities as it would bring more than 850 employees, including 750 experienced SAP consultants to the company, Infosys said in a statement.

Infosys stock gained Rs 29.05 to trade at Rs 2,524.95 in the BSE after trading began this morning.

Infosys has always been keen on acquiring European companies to expand its horizon across geographies.

The acquisition will also add more than 200 clients across industries, including manufacturing, automotive and life sciences, to the Infosys pool of over 700 clients.

Infosys said that its Consulting & Systems Integration business has more than 30,000 consultants across 10 industry verticals and accounts for 31 per cent of its revenue. Lodestone acquisition will help boost its global presence, especially in Europe and emerging markets such as Latin America and Asia-Pacific.

Now, there are media reports that Infosys is in talks to buy Everis, a Spanish consulting company. Everis, which employs over 9,000 consultants globally, has reported $635 million in revenues.
