New Update

BANGALORE, INDIA: India's IT giant, Infosys announced that it has signed a multi-year contract with Volvo Car Corp. (Volvo Cars) to provide application development services to the global operations.

Advertisment

According to the agreement, Infosys will develop applications to support multiple domains, including marketing and sales, customer service, manufacturing, product development, and corporate functions for Volvo Cars.

Nitesh Bansal, VP, manufacturing for Infosys Europe said the contract reflects the company's rising focus and we will be a strategic supplier for Volvo Cars to deliver excellence and innovation to transform their IT landscape to a modern architecture.

The contract comes as Indian software services companies are betting on Nordic region as the next big IT market within Europe. While Europe is the second largest market for the Indian IT sector, enterprises in Nordic and continental Europe prefer local software companies over offshore service providers.
