Informix launches Internet Foundation.2000 in India

Informix International
Inc, an enterprise database solutions company, has launched its
high-performance, extensible data and content management platform for the
Internet--Informix Internet Foundation.2000--in India.

Based on Informix's Centaur database engine,
Internet Foudation.2000 incorporates both database and application server
capabilities within a single platform, reducing the need for additional
hardware, middleware and integration consulting. "Internet
Foundation.2000 delivers Internet migration and performance on a proven,
secure and reliable platform. Informix alone addresses our customers'
heterogeneous environment today and their requirements to speak all the
languages of the web tomorrow," said Informix International Inc.

Informix Internet Foundation.2000 is built around an
open and flexible architecture that provides broad support for Internet
standards in the industry, including Java, ActiveX, COM, C and C++.

Informix Internet Foundation.2000 was released four
weeks ago in the US and is available on Windows NT, Linux and Unix. The
product will be priced at around Rs 97,000 in India. Further, as a special
offer, Informix has announced a special price (Rs 9,000 per user)
developer program on Linux, valid till 31st December this year.
