New Update

BANGALORE: Data integration software provider Informatica Corporation today announced that Hyderabad-based Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology (SNIST) has selected its PowerCenter data integration software to be part of the B.Tech and M.Tech curriculum.

Advertisment

“The growing industry demand for specialists in data integration, including data warehousing is reflected by the increasing participation of private companies in professional education,” said Professor Narasimha Reddy, director, Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology. “With Informatica’s leading data integration solutions, our students will train on the best products in the industry and build on their experience.”

The institute has purchased Informatica software under the World Bank initiated, government-sponsored Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme, which sustains the development of quality technical education in India.

The programme aims to upgrade 70-80 high performing institutions to world-class levels by means of essential support like the modernisation of laboratories, faculty and staff development, curricula improvements, course flexibility and interaction with industries and research.

Advertisment

Java Softech, Informatica’s partner in this venture, has been working with a large number of education institutions, mainly universities and affiliated colleges for the past six years.

Sreenidhi offers Engineering Degree programmes with AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) approval from the government of India and the government of Andhra Pradesh and is affiliated to the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.
