Informatica
Corporation, a provider of enterprise data integration software, today announced the launch of its sales and marketing operations in India.
Informatica India, headed by Ramendra Mandal, country manager, will leverage the India Research & Development Centre established in 2003 to further extend Informatica's focus and presence in India.
Redwood City, California-based Informatica has more than 400 existing customers in the Asia Pacific region. By opening offices in Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai, Ramendra will focus on developing Informatica India's sales and marketing infrastructure, launching Informatica solutions, including the PowerCenter data integration platform, and growing the company's partner ecosystem. "Faced with intense global competition, enterprises in India require an IT infrastructure that allows them to rapidly respond to quickly shifting market and customer dynamics," said Mandal. "Data integration software is a critical component of this IT infrastructure. We look forward to working with these organizations to help them leverage the power of data integration in order to differentiate their products and services, improve customer satisfaction and strengthen their competitive stance in the global economy."
