Informatica appoints Margaret Breya as CMO, EVP

BANGALORE, INDIA: Data integration software company Informatica Corporation appoints Margaret Breya as chief marketing officer and executive vice president, responsible for worldwide marketing.

Margaret brings more than 25 years of marketing leadership experience. She was previously associated with HP as senior vice president of marketing services responsible for optimizing the company's marketing investment. Prior to HP, Margaret served as executive vice president and general manager at SAP. Margaret has also held positions as executive vice president, general manager and chief marketing officer at Business Objects, chief marketing officer and chief strategy officer at BEA Systems and senior vice president of Marketing at Sun Microsystems.

"I am delighted to welcome Marge to Informatica. She is an accomplished executive with broad-based marketing experience at category-defining organizations," said Sohaib Abbasi, chairman and chief executive officer, Informatica. "Marge is exceptionally qualified to help drive our next growth phase by further expanding our market opportunities shaped by secular technology megatrends including cloud computing and big data."

Breya received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and a Master's of Business Administration from the University of Oregon.
