Bangalore: Infonity.com, a Web site launched by InfoIndia Pvt. Ltd., is set to take off with Infotravel, which will help users book accommodation online, round the clock. InfoIndia managing director Aveena Gudapati said, the company has drawn up plans to invest about Rs 4 crore and is extending services to 25 cities through a chain of franchisee networked centres. The site would enable people to book hotel accommodation, link up with car rental operators and provide ticketing facility.
It has also developed InfoHR, which is to serve human resource development activity in companies, enabling them to take up appraisals, training and recruitment. Mr Gudapati said other products such as Infobiz, Infolegal, and services for the pharma sector are in the pipeline. They are launching a journal on the hospitality industry early next month.
Features of the travel booking are discount on the hotel tariff, confirmed bookings, presence of help desk and a wide range of hotels to chose from. The company has already enlisted over 40 hotels in just about two months, he said.
