NEW DELHI: Infogain Corporation, a US based IT consulting and services company, has unveiled its global growth plans, using India as a lever. The company announced the launch of its largest global development center (GDC) in India, spread over 90,000 square feet with an investment of $5 million.
According to the company, this would be its third facility in three years and would be a key component of the company's dual shore delivery model. Supplemented by the new GDC, Infogain is targeting significant business growth in America, EMEA and APAC by charting entry into new business domains and additional geographical regions.
Infogain Corporation board member Bernard Guidon said, "US offshore IT services spending is projected to grow from $16 billion to $46 billion in 2007. To capitalize on this opportunity, IT vendors need to provide high value, low cost and speedy, time to market solutions on a global scale. This is where companies like Infogain are uniquely equipped, having agility and depth off expertise to add significant measurable value".
Infogain Corporation CEO, Kapil Nanda said, "We are witnessing exciting times. Global IT services business are changing, creating business opportunities for companies with strategically located development centers in India. To leverage this trend we have increased our investment in India in our new global development center in NCR. We are investing $5 million into the GDC and we are open to let this grow further"
He added that the company has ambitious growth plans. "The new GDC is already half full and is expected to triple in size in the next three years. In the next 12 months, we would double our staff strength from 650 to 1,300 globally," he informed.
