NEW DELHI, INDIA: For the first time in India, a two-day conference on Information Security – ‘ISec 2007’ will be held in Chennai from August 11, at the Chennai Trade Centre.
Jointly organised by the South Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Israel Government, the two-day conference will deliberate on ‘Detect, Respond and React,’ strategy.
According to the organisers, an exhibition is also planned on the sidelines of the conference, which will give an opportunity to demonstrate the capability of Indian IT security companies.
The seminars on Information Security will cover issues such as disaster recovery, e-mail security, ethical hacking and IPR issues would be discussed in detail in the seminars. Key companies involved in IT security will also showcase their services, solutions and security-related products at the two-day exhibition.
Israel will support the event as a partner country, and security solution providers from that country will participate in the event. The conference-cum-exhibition is to be made as an annual affair.
IT security solutions are a $50 billion global business market in the coming decade.
The organisers said IT security issue has became a matter of global concern as about 76 per cent of cyber crimes went undetected and the rest were detected 'by chance.'
