Infinity to invest $ 2 m in Epicenter

MUMBAI: Infinity Venture Fund, an Indian institutionalized angel fund, has

announced an infusion of funding to

the tune of $ 2 million in Epicenter Technologies, a Mumbai-based outsourcing

services company in the CRM space. The investment is a reiteration of Infinity's

key strategy to invest in the burgeoning IT Enabled Services (ITES) segment. The

new investment will be deployed by Epicenter towards the company's market

expansion and infrastructure development efforts.






Announcing the investment, Infinity Venture Fund director, Saurabh Srivastava
said, " BPO is becoming essential infrastructure for most global

organizations. This investment is key to our core strategy and we are happy to

partner with Epicenter as it has a strong competent team of professionals and is

well poised to become a world class organization. Our extensive sponsor network

and association with key industry people will further help them reach their

goals."






Epicenter Technologies CEO, Vijay Rao said, "Today Epicenter is more than
1000 employees and is growing at the rate of 100-120 employees per month. We are

leaders in the voice segment and our agenda is to be a quality forerunner in all

the related services like web, chat, e-mail etc. Mr.Rao added that "We

chose Infinity as a key strategic investor because we believe its promoters have

been entrepreneurs in the IT sector--a very critical requirement in the industry
