The trends seen in July are continuing, with cybercriminals still actively exploiting vulnerabilities in popular software products. Rogue antivirus applications and basic iframe-clickers are also spreading fast. It's unlikely that this situation will change next month, as cybercriminals have tried and tested these approaches and found them to be successful.

According to Alexander Gnatusin, Director, Channel SA, Kaspersky Lab; “The percentage in India is definitely growing, however number of Malwares from China is growing much faster. Just recently couple of big banks were infected with different type of treats. The Indian market is growing now and so there will be a growth number of treats and Malware targeted to steal someone’s data and money. Indian Users have to protect their PCs. For cyber-criminals there is no difference whether you are a home user or a big company; their targets are money, personal accounts, corporate account, any information which could be sell fast.”

He further added that, “Success of data protection depends not only on the Anti-virus software, it depends from how fresh your anti-virus databases are. At Kaspersky, we provide on-time updates and proactive defense gives you protection even from unknown treats.”
