VISAKHAPATNAM: When the CIOL SMB forum on Information Technology for Business Benefit had its stopover here, it was nothing less than an IT-enlightening session for the participants, who represented various small and medium business houses of the port city.

Unlike the capital city of Hyderabad, SMBs in the city are yet to exploit the benefits of ERP. The presentation by Rajasekhara Reddy Atchi, partner technology specialist, Microsoft Business Solutions, served as an primer for those who were interested to include ERP in their firm.

``Customers can go in only for certain features instead of the whole package. The cost of installation depends on the kind of establishment the company has,'' explained Reddy.
