India’s vice president Venkaiah Naidu to inaugurate Bengaluru Tech Summit 2021

The government of Karnataka, and Software Technology Parks of India is organizing the 24th edition of Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) 2021 which will be inaugurated and addressed by Venkaiah Naidu, the vice president of India.

It is scheduled to be held from November 17th-19th, 2021 and will follow a hybrid format. The theme chosen for this edition is “driving the next”, highlighting the role of digital and technological innovations which drove and supported growth of multiple sectors in a post-pandemic world.

The event will be presided by Thawar Chand Gehlot, Governor of Karnataka, Basvaraj Bommai, Chief Minister of Karnataka; Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister of Communications, Electronics and Information Technology; Minister of Railways; Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India and Dr. C. N. Ashwath Narayan, Minister for Electronics, IT & Bt, Science and Technology, Higher Education, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, Government of Karnataka.

“Bengaluru Tech Summit is today a landmark trendsetter event globally and has become India’s leading technology summit. This year, as the world and nation prepare to progress in a post-pandemic scenario, technology will play even more critical and all-pervasive role that is vital in supporting the successful functioning of sectors, industries, and governments,” Dr. C. N. Ashwath Narayan said.

The event will also see the participation of international dignitaries like Naftali Bennett, Prime Minister of Israel; Prof. Klaus Schwab, Founder and Chairman, World Economic Forum, and Martin Schroeter, Chief Executive Officer, Kyndryl.

With prowess in driving the growth of technology and global businesses, despite the challenges of the pandemic, BTS 2021 will focus on further boosting innovation and international engagements in the country.
