Here's a list of startup companies that have emerged as a ray of hope during the Pandemic.
1. Truecaller launches COVID-19 healthcare directory in India
Truecaller has launched a COVID-19 hospital directory in India. With the help of this directory, users can access the telephone numbers and address details of the coronavirus hospitals designated by the government. The directory, in the app, helps users access it through the menu or dialler. Users can click on the hospital directory and access the contact details of the selected hospital. Besides searching for hospitals, the directory will also help users look for care facilities. The hospital directory is available for multiple states. Further, the data available in the directory, collected from official government databases.
2. Superpro.ai is providing free video consultations to COVID-19 patients
Doctors-Overseas, a pandemic tele-support helpline from doctors all across the world, was launched by Superpro.ai and let by Arihant Kochhar, a software engineer at Microsoft, to provide free video consultations to all COVID-19 patients. Patients can visit the page here and can choose any of the listed doctors. After clicking on the “Book a Call” option, they are presented with the calendar of that doctor. Patients can then pick a date and choose a slot that works for them. They can also add any query as part of the message while booking the appointment. The doctor and patient both get the notification on email and WhatsApp with the date, time and a link to the call. This will, further, take place over Superpro.ai itself. It also works on all major devices and browsers.
3. Park+ launches drive-through vaccination in Gurgaon & Noida
Automated smart parking solutions firm Park+ has partnered with State governments in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to organise drive-through vaccination for those wanting the jab. After the drive-through exercise at DLF City Centre mall in Gurugram, Park+ has made a similar option available for residents of Noida, who can get vaccinated at DLF Mall of India in the safety of their cars. One can book it from the Co-WIN portal, too. The no-charge initiative further offers the first dose of vaccination to anybody above 45 years of age.
4. Cytecare launches step-down hospital for moderately ill COVID-19 patients
Cytecare has developed the 120-bed COVID-19 treatment centre by converting the Canadian International School's hostel in Bangalore into a step-down hospital, with each bed equipped with a dedicated oxygen concentrator. It added that the Humanist Centre for Medicine and EO helped with the fundraising for the initiative. The centre will treat moderately ill COVID-19 patients who require oxygen support. It also has a centralised clinical command room to ensure an organised channel for the allocation of oxygen beds and other accessories, and study real-time data to help the clinical team address treatment protocols for patients.
5. Paytm launches COVID-19 vaccine finder to help users track slot availability RT
Fintech giant Paytm launched COVID-19 Vaccine Finder on its Mini App Store. The vaccine finder helps citizens track slot availability and receive real-time automated alerts when new slots open via Paytm Chat. Through Paytm's COVID-19 Vaccine Finder platform, people can check the availability of vaccination slots for a specific date by individually entering different pin codes or district details along with the age group, either 18+ or 45+.
