Indian software goes east

BANGALORE: Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC), an autonomous organization under the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India and Japan-Special Interest Group (J-SIG) would together lead a delegation of Indian IT companies to Japan to explore the business opportunities in the country and be part of SODEC (Software Development Expo & Conference) from July 9 to July 11.






The Indian delegates would be meeting senior executives of Japanese companies like Fujitsu, Honda, Matsushita, Mitsubishi, NEC, NTT, Sharp, Sony, TDK, Toshiba, and Toyota apart from several Japanese SMEs. J-SIG would be organizing meetings at Osaka (July 7) and Nagoya (July 8) and a visit to SODEC (Software Development Expo & Conference)/ESEC (Embedded Systems Expo & Conference) at Tokyo Big Sight.





The event is supported by Japan Business Society & Japan Small and Medium Enterprise Corporation; and cooperated by Indian Embassy in Japan, Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.





The seminars would provide the Indian companies with an opportunity to discuss with the Japanese corporate on a one-to-one basis and explore the business opportunities. The Osaka seminar would bring in participants from the Kansai-region, and would look forward to services, like web-enabled applications, engineering services, telecom, and enterprise solutions.





The Nagoya seminar would bring in participants from the Tokai-region, and would look forward to services, related to embedded systems, web-enabled applications and telecom.
