“Indian SMEs are experts in their core areas, but when it comes to non-core areas like marketing and logistics, they struggle to find their way. These non-core areas are, however, critical for the growth of their business,” said Sandeep Juneja, senior director (National Sales), DHL.

He was speaking to reporters at the venue of `CEO Mentoring Clinic' organised by DHL, the world’s leading logistics company, here last evening.

The clinic will help SMEs (small and medium scale enterprises) located in districts of Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Anand, Kaira, Panchmahals, Dohad and other parts of central and South Gujarat in growth of their business, he said.

The event was attended by 80 SMEs customers.

SMEs play a vital role in growth of the Indian economy by contributing 45 per cent of industrial output and 40 per cent of exports. They employ 60 million people, create 1.3 million jobs every year and produce more than 8,000 goods, said Juneja.
