BANGALORE, INDIA: Railway passengers can now easily enquire about trains.The Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) has now launched Android mobile app  after it had launched on Windows 8.

The new National Train Enquiry System (NTES) mobile app is free to download. The public can now get information regarding arrivals, departures on their Android devices.

The app also provides features such as 'train schedule', 'trains between stations', 'live station' and 'information on cancelled rescheduled and diverted trains'. 'Live Station' query provides list of trains expected to arrive at/depart from any station in next two or four hours.

You can also spot your train which gives you its current position and lets you know the 'Scheduled time', and the actual arrival time. It also tells you if there is a delay.

The app is now available on Windows Phone 8 and Android.
