70 Indian cos to deck Hannover Fair

NEW DELHI: Exhibiting new levels of technological advancements, innovation and automation — 70 companies from India are likely to participate at Hannover fair (April 19-April 24, 2004) exhibiting their best products and offerings.







According to the officials, the fair is aimed at users right across the industrial spectrum and as Indian businesses are fast becoming multinational, the event will give them a platform to showcase their best offerings on a global scale and dimension.







The Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) will organize group participation for Indian companies in sub-contracting arena. Indian electrical and electronics manufacturers association (IEEMA) will organize group stand for Indian participants in the energy sector. IGCC would also organize an Indian delegation to Germany on this occasion.







"India is one of the top three Asian participants in Hannover Fair, Germany, the others being China and Taiwan. The major portion of Indian participation is coming from castings, forging, components section and in electrical, engineering and surface technology section. Hannover offers India a respected and well established global platform and serves to enhance the ‘Brand India’ image," said IGCC Director, general B Steinruecke.







The Indian companies already registered for participation in Hannover Fair 2004 include Crompton Greeves, Connect Well industries, Havells, Raychem RPG, Teknik controls, Surfin Chemicals, Trinity India, Engineering Enterprise and other companies in manufacturing casting and forging products.
