Biocon India—is India's top-notch biopharmaceutical company incorporated in 1978. It is in Bengaluru, Karnataka. According to Biocon India, ADQ—an Abu Dhabi based company, funded $75 million in it.

Biocon comprises a group of companies like—Syngene, Biocon Biologists, BICARA & Biocon Academy. They produce products in the field—generic, biosimilars, branded formulation, and novel biologics.

MapMyGenome—is a molecular diagnostic company launched in 2013 by Anu Acharya. It is in Hyderabad, Telangana. They have various industry partners like—Apollo Hospitals, Manipal Hospitals, Dr Lal Path Labs, Amazon, Ocium Biosolutions, and many expert platforms.

They offer various products like—Genomepatri, MyFitGene, MyNutriGene, Medicamap, and Clinical Diagnostics.

Xcode Life Sciences—is a personal genomics company working in the healthcare, nutrition and wellness sector. Saleem Mohammed, Dr Abdur Rub and Naru Narayan laid its foundation in 2010.

Their head office is in Oggiyamthuraipakkam, Chennai. Xcode Life Sciences deliver innovative genetic testing kits. Through one's saliva sample, they can test their wellness and health at home and assess the online reports.

They have introduced India's first ancestry insights. The South Asian continent's inhabitants, through ancestry tests, can analyse their genetic order. Xcode Life Sciences has partnered with Roundglass and Shead holdings.

Sea6Energy—is a Bangalore based incorporated in 2010. It is the brainchild of 4 Madras IITians—Sayash Kumar, Sailaja Nori, Nelson Vadasseri and Sowmya Balendiranand. They sought help from their professor, Shrikumar Suryanarayan, and entered the biofuel industry by winning the iGEM competition in 2009.

The forerunner Ocean Operating System of the startup pertains to ocean farming, ocean bio-processing, and ocean solutions. They produce sea products with an extensive and innovative approach.

Sea6Energy also developed seacombat, an innovative sea vehicle for mechanised ocean farming. The startup has partnered with Tata Capital, Mahindra, ICAR, Novozymes and other collaborators. Interestingly, Shrikumar Suryanarayan, Co-founder, Chairman & CEO, Sea6 Energy, worked with Biocon, one of its partners.

Pandorum Technologies—is a Bangalore based biotechnology private company. Arun Chandru and Dr Tuhin Bhowmik founded it in 2011. They primarily focused on tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.

The biotech company is wildly famous for its innovative design in 3D print human liver tissue for research. These bio-printing human tissues are like micro-architecture through various fabrication methods.

Serum Institute of India—is a Pune-based company established in 1966. Cyrus C. Poonawalla laid the foundation of this biotechnology and pharmaceutical company. Eventually, Adar C. Poonawalla and Natasha A. Poonawalla drew the chariot further.

Its parent company, Cyrus Poonawalla Groups, has expanded their business from pharma, biotech, finance, clean energy, hospitality & realty and aviation. The company manufactured intranasal swine flu vaccines, rabishield, tubervac (BCG), poliovac and other vaccines.

They also partnered with AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford to develop the Covishield vaccine for reducing the risks of COVID-19. For bolstering the vaccine development, it has launched the Covovax vaccine as per WHO's (emergency using list).
