HYDERABAD, INDIA: Soon India will have its own Android device. Notion Inc, a Hyderabad based start-up is planning to launch a touchscreen tablet PC with Android OS.
Android: Its anatomy and features
A blog by Rohan Shravan. founder and director Creatives at Notion Ink at their website mentioned that the device would be unveiled next year at CES (Consumer Electric Show) to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, next month.
According to media reports the new tablet PC, named Adam is developed on the NVIDIA Tegra T20 chipset and is equipped with a writable 10.1 inch touchscreen from Pixel Q
Other features include Bluetooth, video recording facility, data storage capacity of 32GB, a 3 mega pixel digital camera etc, apart from Wi-Fi connectivity.
Google to expand Android features
Pointing the Android usage issue on PC, the blog said, “ There are lots of issues for Android to be used on the big screen. We are going to fix it, but will not showcase in CES this time. There are going to be a lot of User Interface changes in the final product.”
The company would release SDK for for the bigger screen application development later next year. It is also planning to collaborate with open source communities for content generation.
Europeans shy away from Google Android phones
The Notion tablet PC is expected to cost less than $400 (Rs. 18,640 approx.), said the reports.
