NEW DELHI, INDIA: Indian security agencies are not satisfied with a solution offered by Research In Motion for accessing data on its BlackBerry Messenger services, Minister of State for IT and Telecom, Sachin Pilot told parliament on Wednesday.

RIM gave India access to its consumer services including the Messenger services in January, after Indian authorities raised security concerns, but said it could not allow monitoring of its enterprise email. However, India wants the BlackBerry-maker to give it a solution to access corporate email services.

India had threatened to shut off corporate email and instant messenger services on BlackBerry unless it gains access to them, in a campaign driven by fears that unmonitored communication puts the country's security at risk.
