India to invest $1 mn on IT school in Grenada

ST GEORGE'S, GRENADA: The government of India would invest one million US dollar to set up an information technology school in Grenada.

According to India's High Commissioner to Grenada Indian experts will be sent to train local teachers in hardware maintenance and software creation. This is India’s first large investment in Grenada and the center is expected to open in February 2009.

According to reports, the Information Communication Technology Centre for Excellence and Innovations will train around 500 students a year. High school graduates and adults will be eligible to enroll for the certification course in the Centre.
