BANGALORE, INDIA: Red Hat, provider of open source solutions, in association with College of Engineering, Pune (COEP) will be hosting Fedora Users and Developers' Conference (FUDCon) 2011 in Pune between 4th and 6th November.
The release further added that, the event is a combination of sessions, talks, workshops, and hackfests in which contributors work on specific initiatives to further the growth of the open source community at large.
Discussions revolve around topics such as infrastructure, feature development, community building, general management and governance, marketing, testing and QA, packaging, etc.
The sessions during the event will feature the latest cutting edge community development technology projects in the Linux space. This event is also a pre-cursor to the release of Fedora 16, which has better offerings, benefits and technology than Fedora 15, which was released 6 months ago
India is a hot-bed for open source community development and is second only to the USA in open source contributions to the Fedora project. One of the key contributions from India to open source has been the Indic language project which encompasses over 19 Indian languages, added the release.
