This enterprise information technology (IT) infrastructure services project also covers Blade Center and NSeries Storage System Solution, as well as the non-disruptive data migration and storage level data replication to its remote site (IGL’s plant) located in Kashipur, Uttarakhand.

Apart from managing the storage environment across IGL’s business, it is also claimed, as per a press release that the agreement will empower IGL to improve their IT efficiency and focus on its aggressive expansion plans while reducing its capital expenditure on IT by as much as 25 per cent.

"IGL is a value-added specialty chemicals powerhouse and we have ambitious growth plans. IBM engaged with us from the very beginning to understand our critical business needs and design appropriate solutions," said U S Bhartia, CMD of India Glycols Limited.
