Rajan Anandan, Managing Director, Google India informed that the company has made significant investments in localising its market outreach to tap the various clusters of SMBs. Google has started two local call centres for SMEs in India to handhold SMEs to understand the key benefits of online advertising. “The call center is focused on both outbound and inbound calls — and provides support to businesses in local languages - this includes English, Hindi, Telgu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam,” Anandan said.

“Businesses often believe that getting online is too complex, costly and time-consuming; this perception prevents many SMBs from taking the first step towards building an online presence. But with Google it just takes 15 minutes and just a few simple steps to create a website once a SME logs on to IndiaGetOnline.in,” said Rajan Anandan.
