NEW DELHI, INDIA: One of the leaders in Web domain, hosting and SSL certificate provider Go Daddy is optimistic about India's market potential. The company said that it will start operational facility and expand management team in the country.
As India is expected to get 300 million Internet connections by 2014, the company feels that domain names penetration is a worry which it said, is just at 3 per cent. The company is focusing on small business with a range of over 50 products and services.
Go Daddy VP for International Development Ryan Corder said that since SMBs aspire to grow bigger, they strive to help them fuel growth. ''We have a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Go Daddy processed 12.7 million customer calls in 2011 alone,'' he said.
With more than 53 million domain names under its management, the company said that it supports 120,000 customers in India. Its portfolio includes cloud servers, SSL certificates, Website security, e-commerce and grid technology.
Rajiv Sodhi managing director at Go Daddy India said that they provide necessary tools and services to small businesses to tap market opportunities. ''We have now Go Daddy India Website and localized pricing options,'' he added.
The company processes 10 billion DNS queries in a day and has a workforce of 3,200 individuals while nearly 15 per cent of them are involved in product development activities. Go Daddy said that India is their biggest customer growth market.
