Impetus to open second development center

Impetus Technologies Inc has announced plans to establish its second development center, in Delhi, to keep pace with its expansion plans and to cater to its growing base of software product clients. The company's other development center, in Indore, houses about 180 employees.

The new center would be scaled up in line with the company's objective of having 300 employees by the end of year 2004. Impetus is currently recruiting senior and junior engineers for both Delhi and Indore, at levels ranging from developers, to project leads, architects and director engineering.

According to Impetus Technologies CEO Praveen Kankariya, "As a nation with one of the best pools of technical resources, we need to focus on developing core products, and that is what Impetus would be doing in the new development center. We will invest in resources, which will give us a competitive edge internationally in the product development space."
