The SL1200 and RX3042H are both designed for small office/home office (SOHO) and small and medium enterprise (SME) applications.

The Fusiv Vx200 uses Ikanos’ unique Accelerator Processor architecture, which enables hardware-like performance with the flexibility of software. By offloading various tasks across several Accelerator Processors, most of the on-chip CPU’s processing power is available for customer applications. As a result, ASUSTeK will be able to offer its customers significant customization capabilities for their applications, while still providing wire speed security performance across LANs and WANs. The highly integrated Vx200 processor also offers high speed switching, routing, packet filtering, advanced QoS, firewall management and VPN security, as well as VoIP.

Yi Hsieh, director of Sales, Marketing and PM Groups, Networking Business Department at ASUSTeK, said: "With the Accelerator Processor architecture, we are able to offer wire speed performance and iron-clad network security. As a result, our gateways offer the best performance and features in their class and are the clear choice for the networking needs of the SoHo and SME markets."
