IIT Recruitment 2020: IIT Kanpur invites application for Project Engineer (4) and Research Associate (2); Salary upto ₹ 66000

IIT Recruitment 2020: IIT Kanpur or IITK is a public technical and research university located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The GoI declared it as an Institute of National Importance under the Institutes of Technology Act. Established in 1960. it is one of the first IITs. The institute was created with the assistance of a consortium of nine US research universities as part of the Kanpur Indo-American Programme (KIAP).

IIT Kanpur invites applications for two separate posts; four Project Engineers in Project numbered 2016466 in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Kanpur; and two Research Associates in the project entitled, “Project for Training, Research and Entrepreneurship Development in Smart Grid”.

Who can apply to the IIT Recruitment 2020?

Qualifications for Project Engineers

• MTech or BTech with MBA or BTech with 3 years of relevant experience.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, PHP, Node.js and MSsql/ Mysql/ MariaDB

• Good knowledge of CMS in a general and thorough understanding of Drupal and its core principles in particular

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs

• Experience with working on ELK stack

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

• Knowledge of computer networks

• Experience in Cyber Security of Web-Based Systems and databases

• HTML5 and CSS3 knowledge and latest responsive design techniques

• Very good writing, and speaking ability in English

• Ability to work on deadline-driven projects.

Qualifications for Research Associate

• MTech or BTech with at least 3 years of research and development experience.

• Smart Meter protocols (DLMS/ COSEM, IS1644 etc.) development.

• LoRa-WAN/6LoWPAN based IoT Development.

• Software development for IoT/ Embedded systems.

• Power System protocols development experience (MODBUS, IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5 etc.)

• Smart grid/power system protocols and their implementation methods.

• Protocol converter development experience.

The post is purely temporary and is for the duration of one year or till the end of the project, whichever is earlier. The last date for sending the application is 20 November 2020.

Short-listed applicants will be called for an online interview over a suitable video conferencing platform. Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualification and work experience will not be informed or called for the interview.

Salary

The Research Associate post carries a salary of ₹ 35,000 per month.

Meanwhile, the Project Engineer post carries a salary line of ₹ 26400 - 2200 - 66000.
