IIT Kharagpur invites applications for online course on R Programming and Data Analytics; Apply by Nov 1

The program - Online Course on Introduction to R Programming and Data Analytics from IIT Kharagpur begins om November 7, 2020. The program spans for 20 days covering only weekends - to November 27, 2020. Dr Swagato Chatterjee, Vinod Gupta School of Management will be the Principal Co-ordinator of the event. While “Introduction to R Programming and Data Analysis ” is an introductory course (15 hours); “Data Analysis with R Programming” is the second part (next 15 hours).

The objective of the programme is to teach the participants hands on usage of R programming. It will also teach the participants data analytics skills and its applications in read world situations. Further, the programme will help the participants use the skills in solving assignments which will mimic real case studies.

Course Pedagogy

The methods consist of lecture sessions, hands-on-exercises, discussion on cases, and live problems. Academicians with proven knowledge, Industrial experience, and demonstrable and related areas will deliver lectures and also analyze case studies. Further, there will be  a follow up Course in December 2020 on Data Analytics with R Programming.

There are two target participants; for which there are different fees.

Category-1 (Students): At least 1st-year B.Tech undergraduate pass out; fee: INR 6000

Category-2 (Others): Teachers/ Scientific Officers/ Instructors/ Technical Assistants/ Persons from Industries; fee: INR 8000
