IIT Jodhpur invites applications to Part-Time MTech AI Program for Working Professionals by January 15

IIT Jodhpur invites applications for admission to Part-Time M.Tech. (Artificial Intelligence) program for working professionals. The session will begin in February 2021. Thus, the last date to apply is January 15. According to IIT Jodhpur, AI has been emerging as a core technology with a significant impact on productivity. Thus, to cater to the immediate requirement of manpower trained in emerging AI technologies, IIT Jodhpur last year started Part-Time M.Tech. (AI) program for professionals.

The Program had received an overwhelming response across the country. It allows professionals to pursue MTech. in a part-time mode as off-campus students and also periodically visit the Institute for experiencing the IIT environment.

How to apply for the course?

Candidates must fill an online application on the official website before January 15. Later. IIT-J will select candidates based on written test and/or interview and/or any other criteria that the admission committee finds suitable. If you have any prior research exposure and/or industry experience in areas related to AI, that is a plus.

IIT Jodhpur has made it clear that they reserve the right to set any cut off criteria for shortlisting the candidates. And, mere fulfilment of the eligibility criteria does not guarantee admission.

What is the Program Fee?

Rs 5,000/- per credit registered in a semester. For example, if a student registers for 9 credits in a semester, the fee will be Rs 45,000/- for the semester. Total credit requirement in 62.

Eligibility Criteria

B.Tech./B.E. (in any branch of Engineering)/MCA/MSc (Computer Science or Electronics) with at least 60% marks. At least 2 years of professional work experience with sufficient hands-on experience in computer programming.

Credit Requirement

Students need to earn 62 credits as per the course structure in order to qualify for the degree M.Tech. (Artificial Intelligence). The credits can be earned over a period of 3 to 4 years. The delivery of the program is primarily targeted for off-campus professionals who are keen to

acquire additional knowledge and skills in the area of AI. However, a professional, with the necessary permissions from their organization can choose to attend courses on-campus.

Important Dates or Admission Timeline

● December 5, 2020: Date of opening of the site for submitting online applications

● January 15, 2021: Last date for submitting online applications

● January 29, 2021: Announcing the list of shortlisted candidates for selection test

● February 2, 2021: Written-test/interview

● February 6, 2021: Announcement of selected candidates

Applicants are required to pay the processing fee of Rs. 300 online while submitting the application form.
