IIT-Jodhpur bags NI's 'Application of the year' award

BANGALORE, INDIA: Sandeep Yadav from Indian Institute of Technology-Jodhpur, Rajasthan was awarded, 'Application of the year' for developing IP for next generation digital radio standard-based transmitter to enable digital quality AM reception for rural India during NIDays 2012.

The awards aim to highlight efforts by engineers, scientists and researchers across India for their innovative test, measurement and embedded monitoring and control applications.

Organised by National Instruments, the annual conference highlighted the impact of NI technology on solving engineering challenges in India using NI's Graphical System Design platform.

"We are excited about the significant outcome of NI's strategic and long-term R&D investment in India," said Victor Mieres, vice president, Emerging Markets, Asia/Row during his keynote.

Highlighting NI India's contributions and potential in new geographic business region, Mieres further added, "As India's influence on the global marketplace grows, the NI India team collaborates with hundreds of customers in universities, SMEs and multinational corporations to nurture local innovation and accelerate productivity."

 

With an intention to bring together LabVIEW developers from all over India, NI launched a dedicated community forum - www.labviewenabled.in - during the event. The forum allows students, designers and developers to share best practices, discuss technical challenges, share sample codes and also explore career opportunities.

The event was attended by more than 700 engineers, researchers and scientists.
