• IISc Bangalore is the Organizing Institute for JAM 2021.

• JAM 2021 Examination will be conducted ONLINE only as a Computer Based Test (CBT) for all Test Papers.

• It will have seven Test Papers, namely, Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Sciences and Physics (PH).

• Also, economics (EN) paper is the new paper from this year.

• All the seven Test Papers of JAM 2021 will be of entirely objective type, with three different patterns of questions, namely (i) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), (ii) Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and (iii) Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.

• IISc Bangalore will accept applications ONLINE only through JAM 2021 website.

• IISc-B has asked students to not send any hard copies of documents. Further, applicants have to upload them online to the application website only.

• Moreover, students will not have to undergo a suitability test or interview for the Master's programmes under JAM.

• Integrated PhD programmes in Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Biological Sciences at IISc Bangalore will use the JAM results to shortlist candidates for the final selection.

IIT JAM is one of the national level examination organized to offer admission into M.Sc., M.Sc. Ph.D., and M.Sc. PhD dual degree etc. programmes.

First, the applicant needs to log into the JAM Online Application Process System website (JOAPS). There, he/she will have to provide the required information. This further includes the choice of programmes in order of preference; educational qualifications; the percentage of marks/CGPA; category; PwD status, etc.

The online application fee for the examination is Rs 750 for one test paper and 1050 for two test papers for female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates. Further, for all other candidates, it is Rs 1500 for one test paper and 2100 for two test papers. Interested students can go through the official website in detail.
