IIT Hyderabad PhD Applications open; Apply by Nov 11

IIT Hyderabad has opened online applications for PhD admission 2021. there are a total of 15 subjects that IIT Hyderabad PhD Applications are open for. Among other subjects, IIT-H also offers a PhD in Artificial Intelligence. IIT Hyderabad or IIT-H is a public technical and research university located in Sangareddy district, Telangana, India. II-H is known for its academic strength, research, publications, and proximity to IT and industrial hubs.

It was founded in 2008, among the eight new IITs. Further, today it has 1,155 Undergraduate, 635 Masters, and 893 PhD students with 222 full-time faculties. The IIT Hyderabad PhD Applications are for the Semester starting/for Spring 2021.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the PhD program need to possess the following qualifications:

• M.Tech/ M.A./ M.Sc/ M.E. or Equivalent Degree in the concerned or respective department.

• The applicant must have already earned the Master’s degree, or should at least be in the final year of the respective program.

• In the latter case, it would be assumed that the candidate will be able to complete the degree by the time of admission into the PhD program.

• Furthermore, the candidate should have qualified UGC-JRF/ GATE as required in the respective department.

How to Apply?

Interested candidates can apply by clicking ging to the official website. The last date to apply is November 11, 2020.

First, register on the above page with a login id, email address and password. Please note that we will use this email address for further communication with you. Then, provide this login id and password with the system. (Also, whenever you login first time the system will ask you for a secret key which will have received through the email at the time of registration).

Then, Click on the 'Click here to apply' and choose the department by clicking on the arrow of the corresponding department. Further, fill or update your application details by clicking on appropriate arrows. Please note that once you fill or update the information in the appropriate form you need to click on either save/submit button. This is so that IIT-H stores your data in the system.

GEN/OBC: Rs 300

SC/ST/PwD: Rs 150

Females: Rs 150

Payment Procedure

IIT Hyderabad PhD Applications are accepting fee through SBI-Collect. At the time of paying the fee, save the reference document you received from the bank. Save 'SBCollect Reference Number' in Payment Reference Number column of Application Fee Page and upload the reference document by clicking the link provided in the Checklist page.

Further, one can apply to several departments. If you want to apply to several departments you need to fill a separate application for each department you want to apply. To fill your application for a department first log in to the system and choose it in the list of department names. Please note that you need to fill all your details for each department and you also need to pay the application fee separately for each department.
