IIT Delhi: IITians Volunteer to Make JEE-NEET Students Reach Exams Centres Safely; Register on Eduride

By : |August 31, 2020 0

IIT students come together to help JEE, NEET Exam 2020 aspirants reach exam center amid pandemic. They have launched a new portal ‘Eduride’ for the support. The SC upheld the decision to conduct the JEE-NEET exams. The students are raising their voices, but many side the decision too. In fact, IIT Delhi Director, V Ramgopal Rao said:

“It will become a zero academic year for lakhs of students. Our academic calendars are too packed already and linked to too many other things. The delays can impact the careers of so many bright students.”

JEE Main exams begin from tomorrow.

JEE, NEET Exam 2020: How to apply on Eduride

• Visit the official site of Edu Ride.

• Then, click on the student’s link and enter the necessary details. It includes personal details and exam details.

• Press enter and your details have been submitted.

• Once the details are submitted, students will get the information about their ride on their mail id or on the official link.

IITians also invite Alumni and Volunteers to help with the rides. There is an option for volunteering on the website, too. They can help the students in two ways- either by driving the students themselves to the exam center or by making arrangements for students to travel.

The students have mainly developed the website to help students who are facing transport issues. However, it does not promise to ensure service availability. The admin of the portal has asked the students appearing for the exams to keep an alternative option ready to reach the exam center on their own in case of any eventuality.

The NEET 2020 exam date is September 13 and the JEE Main 2020 exam date is September 1 to 6, 2020. Many politicians like Subramanian Swamy, Rahul Gandhi, Manish Sisodia, Mamata Banerjee, and MK Stalin have asked the central government to postpone the exams but there is no change in the dates yet.

IIT Delhi Director asks the students to keep faith in the organizing institutions.
