IIT Bhubaneswar invites applications for Workshop and Hackathon On AR & VR; Apply by Dec 31

The Virtual and Augmented Reality Center for Excellence (VARCOE) is the creative, research and innovation arm of IIT Bhubaneswar. The institute is organizing a Workshop and Hackathon On AR & VR from February 6 to 7, 2021.

The 2nd Edition of WAVR will happen at IIT Bhubaneswar, India on 6th -7th February 2021. This workshop includes Expert keynote talks, Hackathon on AR & VR, and Startup colloquia. Thus, IIT-BBS invites original contributions from researchers and startup describing their work addressing the state-of-the-art research on the design and development of AR-VR.

About the event

It is a two-level competition: Online and offline round at IIT Bhubaneswar; wherein the online round best proposals will be screened in the areas of AR/VR. Then, the offline round will also happen at IIT Bhubaneswar on February 6th-7th, 2021.

The Start-Up colloquies will also present a great opportunity to:

• The present business proposition to companies, public administrations, and private investors.

• There will also be Networking opportunities

• Participants will also get to interact with new technological partners.

• Find potential investors.

• Opportunity to work in the VARCoE CoE as a startup; and also the opportunity to get seed funding from VARCoE to a tune-up to INR Five Lakhs to work in VARCoE, IIT Bhubaneswar.

How to participate?

Each team can consist of max up to 4 participants. They would suggest a project proposal in the area of AR-VR in the online round of the competition. The Registration fee to submit a project proposal is Rs 500. The last date to submit your proposals is December 31, 2020. To register for the workshop and submit your proposals online, click here. IIT BBS will reimburse the 3rd AC Fare on the shortest route for two members when the participants submit the train tickets.

All the participants would get an e-certificate. Further, the first, second, and third-placed teams in the hackathon would be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000, Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 20,000, respectively. They will also receive a few consolation prizes.
