IIHT to go international

NEW DELHI: Having launched its North Indian operations six to seven months back, Bangalore based IT training organization IIHT has announced plans expand its reach all over the world.






IIHT CEO Kehsav Raju N informed that the company is planning to commence international operations by opening its first center in Shanghai, China in Q2 of FY 2005-06. He further added that the company plans to set up 100 such centers in China within three years of setting up the first center. The company has earmarked an investment of $ two million in the next two years for the expansion in China. The company would initially set up the centers directly.





The company will also simultaneously expand in North India, which include the establishment of an R&D facility to create a pool of technocrats, an examination and certification cell and a 3 tier placement cell to provide placement services.








While IIHT intends to expand its centers to smaller cities and towns, it also plans to strengthen its network by opening a number of sales and support offices in all major cities under the Delhi region.





The company plans to expand its franchise network in North India to 150 centers by 2006 from the current 25 centers. On the national level, it intends to expand to 500 centers by 2007 from the current 140 centers.





The company is expecting revenue of Rs 36 crore for the financial year ending 2004-2005, which in turn is expected to cross Rs 50 crore by the end of the next financial year. The company expects its turnover to touch Rs 100 crore by 2008.
