BANGALORE: Close on the heels of its Japanese expansion, Integrated Technology and Operations (iTOPS) company iGATE Global Solutions has announced plans to expand aggressively in Canada.
iGATE, which currently has over 250 employees servicing the Canada Market expects to double this headcount in 2006.
Recently, iGATE had signed two deals in Canada, one a multi-year iTOPS deal in the Finance and Accounting space and the other in IT services for a leading Financial Services company.
Commenting on the significance of the Canadian market, Srinjay Sengupta, chief sales officer, iGATE said, “Canada is a rapidly growing market for iGATE. We have seen a lot of traction around our Consulting, IT and F&A outsourcing services. Interestingly, Canada is a melting pot of culture and languages. For non-English requirements, there is a distinct advantage with Canada being able to offer this capability as an extension of offshore services.”
In addition to focusing on IT services and contact center operations, iGATE is targeting the Canadian market with its iTOPS solutions in Finance and Accounting, Insurance and Banking space.
iGATE employees in Canada work on application maintenance, development, testing, IT strategy and ERP applications. The company also provides a full spectrum of contact center solutions, Consulting services, implementation services and business operations. iGATE's F&A solutions for its Canadian F1000 customers help them reduce cost of their F&A process, improve process efficiencies and deliver year-on-year cost savings through innovative delivery and pricing models.
iGATE ended Q2FY06 with revenues of Rs. 155.77 crores.
