IFS to set up four CoEs in India

NEW DELHI: IFS Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., a global enterprise applications company would set up four vertical-specific Centers of Excellence in India.

Talking to CyberMedia News Chandan Chowdhury, CEO, IFS India, said that IFS India will be focusing on high-end asset-intensive industry verticals in the country.

“IFS focus in India will be to monetize on the growing economy and a domestic market by adding value to the customers. We will be catering solutions which will be slightly higher than the value-chain,” he said.

Chowdhury said that the company will have strategic partners such as System Integrators (SI) for vertical-specific solutions in India, apart from setting-up Centers of Excellence.

According to him IFS is a major player in ERP space for the Utility and Aerospace & Defence sector. “However, we also focus on seven key vertical sectors: aerospace & defense; EPC, automotive; high-tech; industrial manufacturing; process industries; construction, contracting & service management and utilities & telecom,” he said.

“We will have Centers of Excellence for vertical-specific solutions and are in talks with some of the major Indian companies. The Satyam CoE at Hyderabad will work on Utility and Telecom, and also in automotive and industrial manufacturing. The second center with IBM in New Delhi will work specifically on Utility and telecom. The third, which is a partnership-center with CMC will be focusing on all the sectors,” he informed.

Chowdhury said that the fourth center at Bangalore with BAeHaL will focus on defense solutions.

IFS will also have two implementation teams in India for sales and delivery and is also looking an increasing the partner network in the country. “We will be evaluating the past experience of the partners and also their understanding of the business practices. IFS is aiming at 12 partners in the next two years time, who will be offering vertical-focused solutions with a long-term commitment to the industry,” he said.

“IFS India is aiming at doubling its revenue every year and will work towards making India as its deliver center for other Asian countries after serving the domestic market,” Chowdhury added.
