IBM will provide IDFC the full spectrum of Integrated Managed Services for IT infrastructure including on-site, on-line and on-call support for desk side issues of it’s end users.

As a press release adds, IDFC is a leading infrastructure finance company focused on providing a wide range of financial products, advisory services, project development, investment banking services and asset management services for India's infrastructure projects and their sponsors.  IBM will provide IDFC a flexible delivery model for end-user managed services, transforming IDFC from it’s reliance on people for on-site services to a SLA based services model.  Post implementation, any request for support raised by end users from any branch office of IDFC would get attended via online or on-call or onsite visit of IBM resource depending upon the nature of issue.

Kumanan, Director IT, IDFC said, “We were facing challenges managing multiple vendors for IT support for our end users hence decided to consolidate all work to a single vendor with best expertise and experience. A clear understanding about the financial industry was another important criterion we looked for in our partner. IBM’s team demonstrated a complete understanding of our pain points and gave a flexible delivery model for servicing end users thereby eliminating any time delays.”

This agreement has been a result of a long and perseverant engagement of IBM with IDFC to offer an end to end single vendor approach for managing their core infrastructure. IBM’s SLA driven Integrated Managed Services desk and desk side support services for 1050 users across 35 office locations of IDFC is based on industry best practices.
