ideacts launches CLINCK for cyber cafe users

BANGALORE, INDIA: ideacts innovations has launched ‘’CLINCK’’ - an innovative internet media platform, targeted at the shared internet access space.

CLINCK is aimed at white-labeled cyber cafés, which is the access point for 36 per cent of India’s internet users.

The platform delivers an improved web experience for cyber café users and provides an easy and efficient medium to display advertisements in an interactive format allowing advertisers and marketers to reach out to a currently untapped audience in cyber café users.

The company has received its first round of funding - $5million from Sequoia Capital and has R Ramaraj, senior advisor, Sequoia Capital India and Mohit Bhatnagar, Operating Partner, Sequoia Capital India, on its Board of Directors.

CLINCK is an Active Desktop Application that provides entertainment, information, and utility for the user. It features system shortcuts for Internet Explorer, Firefox, Web Search, Yahoo Messenger, GTalk, Windows Live Messenger Shortcut and interactive advertisements.

With the Cyber Café market growing at 8% annually, ideacts innovations aims to bring value to this trade by adding alternate revenue streams and subsiding technology products for a healthier internet infrastructure in India.

Currently operational Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahemdabad, Chandigarh, Pune and Bangalore, ideacts aims to target B and C tier cities in 2009.
