Idea Cellular plans Rs 1200 cr project

NEW DELHI: Ideal Cellular Ltd, India's fifth largest mobiles services firm, will spend Rs 1200 crore to expand its network in the financial year ending March 2005, a company official said.

Vikram Mehmi, chief executive officer at Pune-based Idea, told reporters that Telekom Malaysia Bhd and Singapore Technologies Telemedia Pte (STT) had completed due diligence to buy a one-third stake in Idea Cellular.
