ICICI streamlines reports mgmt with OmniReports

NEW DELHI: Newgen Software Technologies Ltd has announced that it has installed enterprise reports management system OmniReports at ICICI Bank to streamline the reports distribution process at the bank.

OmniReports is an enterprise report management (ERM) platform by Newgen that converts output of line of business applications like core banking systems, ERP systems, billing applications, HRMS, CRM etc. into digital files that can be archived, indexed, copied, searched and transmitted electronically.

With the help of Newgen's OmniReports ICICI Bank will be able to archive, store and distribute customer statements and MIS reports related to trade finance, retail banking and credit cards. ICICI will be able to provide access to OmniReports through its intranet to allow "self service" eliminating the dependence on IT department for access to reports.

Newgen VP sales and marketing Punit Jain said, “OmniReports is designed in a multi-tier manner keeping in mind the scalability needs for enterprise-class deployment. After Implementation of Newgen OmniReports, the reports of large volumes are compressed up to tenth of its size. Reports are online and available for access. Account statements purged from the core systems improve transactional speed. These reports and statements now are archived and viewed from OmniReports.”

"The installation was done in 45 days and will cater to 213 branches of the bank. Immediate availability of reports will also help the bank provide better service to its customers”, he added.
