ICICI, RPG tie up on Any Time Recharge facility

CHENNAI: Wings Prepaid Cellular from RPG Cellular Services Ltd. in tie-up with ICICI Bank would launch Any Time Recharge facility through their ATMs for the first time in Chennai. This facility would allow Wings subscribers with ICICI Bank account in Chennai to recharge their pre-paid cards 24 hours at any of the 83 ATMs in Chennai. This service would eliminate the need to carry cash and seek retail outlet to recharge the prepaid card.

"This innovative service, which is the first of its kind in Chennai would benefit the prepaid customers especially the young executives and businessmen segment in a big way. Such proactive service efforts from our end will enable us to remain the number one mobile phone service provider in the country," said DR Mehta, Managing Director, RPG Cellular.

OP Srivastav, General Manager and Head-Retail Channel, ICICI Bank said, "The card topping module is a significant addition to the utility platform of our ATMs. This takes

our ATMs a step closer to providing payment services similar to a bank branch and thus fulfilling the various needs of our customers without their having to visit a branch."
