BANGALORE: BPO company ICICI
OneSource has announced that its second UK outsourcing centre will open in
Londonderry later this year.
The centre, located at Northland Road will offer a range of outsourcing services
to the company's clients and provide over 600 jobs for the local community
over the next two years. The plan to open a centre in Derry follows ICICI
OneSource's recent announcement of a new centre in Belfast.
“Londonderry has a lot to offer our business,” said Matthew Vallance,
managing director for Europe of ICICI OneSource. “We have been impressed with
the quality of the workforce, the enthusiasm of the local community and the
interest they have shown in our company. Our new Londonderry facility will
provide us with a solid foundation to support our long term growth plans.”
Leslie Morrison, chief executive of Invest Northern Ireland, welcomed the
announcement saying, “Following the Secretary of State's announcement that
ICICI OneSource is to establish its first European centres in Northern Ireland,
I am delighted that the company has now confirmed Londonderry as its second
location.
ICICI OneSource has made a clear long-term commitment to Northern Ireland,
bringing significant employment and career opportunities for over 1000 people.
