ICICI Infotech inks pact with Staffware

MUMBAI: ICICI Infotech, an IT solutions provider for banking and retail finance products, has tied-up with Staffware, provider of business process management (BPM) and workflow systems for IT outsourcing, and e-business solutions. Under the terms of the agreement, ICICI Infotech would provide Staffware’s BPM technology in India.






Manoj Kunkalienkar, Executive Director, ICICI Infotech said, "India is a key growth market for Staffware and ICICI Infotech is a major player within the financial sector, boasting of a number of global financial company clientele. The partnership will raise awareness of the advances being made in workflow technology and the potential of BPM for the financial sector, especially with the forthcoming legislation, such as Basel II, promising to put banks under pressure to be more competitive and responsive to customers.





"We have found that major banks and financial services companies are looking to revamp their offerings and hence are upgrading their IT systems in line with new services being offered in the market. In light of these developments, our alliance with Staffware will provide us the distinctive advantage of offering Staffware technology to our existing and potential customers," he added.





ICICI Infotech company expects that as a part and parcel of this, banks would be able to offer a greater variety of products and services and the take-up of the new retail finance products has seen national banks significantly outstripping foreign banks in popularity.





Headquartered in UK, Staffware is the BPM specialist and has over two million licensed users in 5,000 customer organizations within the banking, insurance, telecommunications, utilities, general commercial, manufacturing, and government sectors.
