BANGALORE: ICICI Infotech will implement Premia- its integrated information
solution for Insurance companies - at Oriental Insurance.
The implementation is scheduled to roll out when the pilot run will see the
customization of the solution as per Oriental Insurance’s requirements at a
representative set of offices branches, divisional office, regional office and
the head office. This would be followed by 150 offices, which will be
computerized and connected using Premia, followed by phase II wherein another
200 offices would be taken up for computerization. The company also wants to
implement the software in the remaining offices after completion of phase-II, as
per a media statement from the company.
The Oriental Insurance, chairman and managing director, Ajit M Sharan said,
"At Oriental, we took the view that we need to invest in a technology
platform that will provide us operational efficiencies, automated reporting at
divisional and regional levels as well as effective management information
systems for top management decision making. After rigorous functional and
technical evaluation, we found Premia to meet these requirements and found a
product that is flexible to cater to the variety of offerings we have, as well
as our changing business requirements."
