ICICI Infotech beefs up product dev. team

BANGALORE: Mumbai based software services and product company, ICICI Infotech, would soon ramp up its product development team by adding 200 more before the end of this year. Boasting a strength of 1600 technical and functional specialists, the company would be adding the team significantly in the Bangalore and Chennai development centers.



The company has five development centers spread in Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai. As part of its business continuity plan, the company has data centers at New Jersey, USA, Dubai, UAE and Singapore. The company is planning to boost its revenue, from products, by over 10 to 15 percent in the current year. It has registered a revenue of Rs 147 crore, representing 36 percent growth over the previous fiscal of Rs 108 crore.



"Developing software products is our core competency. Developing banking products was our primary objective, when we started. As the demand grew, we addressed various applications of the banking sector and our product grew popular. Carrying our success in the banking sector into other verticals witnessed the launch of `Orion’ products. Currently we are addressing the security issue, in this regard we have tied up with US based Affiance group. This way we offer a gamut of services under one roof," said ICICI Infotech General Manager-Public Relations MB Battliwala.



For the banking sector, the company has developed products such as, Newton, Kastle, Pinnacle, Tangible, Riskfree, Bali, Eagle, Trade Navigator, RLS and SPOT On. For the insurance vertical, it offers Premia and Merlin. The Orion series addresses, manufacturing, retail and distribution. For the CRM / SCM sector, it has Cross Roads.



After registering over 90 percent of its revenue from the domestic market, ICICI Infotech, is focussing on exports. It is also venturing in to products for the enterprise segment, reducing its dependence on the banking and financial segment.
