IceWEB unveils enterprise-class storage solution

HERNDON: IceWEB, Inc. has announced the availability of the INLINE TruEnterprise (I240) entry-level iSCSI disk arrays for highly available, storage area networks (SAN). The I240 devices are easily deployable for use in physical or virtual server implementations. These simple-to-use, enterprise-class systems are specifically designed for small and mid-sized businesses, although enterprises will also find them ideal for addressing remote office, departmental, secondary and even third-tier storage needs, providing up to eleven (11) Terabytes of storage.

John R Signorello, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IceWEB, noted, The estimated market for products like our I240 is over 3.1 billion according to IDC. With this launch, we round out our product offering for the SMB market. IceWEB will build on the I240 platform by integrating IceMAIL and IcePORTAL applications into our InLINE family of storage products. This will ensure customers receive the fastest performance at prices that are unmatched by our competition.

The modular disk arrays also support a wide range of application deployments, including virtualization software. The I240 enables customers to increase disk utilization by deploying enterprise or low cost SATA drives. The 240 has a direct 10 Gigabit, or up to eight (1)Gigabit ports of connectivity. The controller boasts 80,000 IOPs and provides 1160MBs per controller.
